My Favourite Gear
Phone
I currently use the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It has to be my favourite iPhone to date: the photo quality is brilliant, and the size is great for reading and watching videos. I also love how iPhones sync with all my other Apple gear meaning I can put something down on one device and pick it up on another.
MacBook
I’ve used MacBooks since I was 18 and I struggle to use anything else now. My current device is 9 years old and still going strong, although it’s definitely showing signs of struggle and new versions of Mac OS won’t work. Again, I love how all my messages, notes and apps sync between the devices that I use.
IPad
The 12.9” iPad Pro was my treat to myself for completing my Masters. I use it with the Magic Keyboard as a replacement for my ageing MacBook. I absolutely love using it for reading, writing, drawing, editing, and watching videos and films, as well it being great for video calling and filming.
Watch
I’ve used my Apple Watch series 3 since 2018 and it’s my go-to watch. It has definitely helped me with monitoring fitness, and closing all my rings definitely motivates me to be that bit more active. Again, the synergy between all the Apple devices is a big winner.
Listening
I use the original Apple AirPods almost every day, as they are great for listening to audiobooks, podcasts and music when I’m out walking or running. I definitely want to upgrade to the Apple AirPods Pro one day, to benefit from their noise cancellation, but the original AirPods do the job really well for now.
Reading
The Amazon Kindle is one of my favourite pieces of tech. It has definitely made me read more due to it being extremely light to hold making it very portable and accessible: perfect for reading in bed as well as taking it on holiday. I use the Kindle Paperwhite which makes reading in the sunshine or at night equally as enjoyable, and the brilliant battery life means I only need to charge it every fortnight or so. The highlight function is also a game changer, as it means I can make notes on what I read really easily.
Writing
Despite the love for tech, I still adore writing by hand, jotting down my thinking, reflections and to-do lists. My go-to notebook is the Leuchtterm 1917 and my favourite pen is the Pentel Energel 0.5mm but I’m also a big fan of the Muji pens too.
